Holiday Letters

This week we have been sharing our holiday news with each other. For writing, we wrote a letter to a friend about our holiday and then published it. Have a read of some of the awesome letters! The rest are on our Writing Wall in the classroom.

The Sun, Earth and Moon

In Room 4 yesterday we did an experiment to show how the Earth and Moon spin around. We used a hoop to show the Sun. The basketball was Earth which orbited on its axis to get night and day as well as orbited around the Sun over a year. The Moon orbited around Earth every month.

Patterns

Today in Room 4 we used different types of equipment to make repeating patterns. We learned that you can change the COLOUR, SHAPE and SIZE to make a patttern.

We are such hard workers in Room 4! Today during maths time we had groups on the Interactive Whiteboard practising their skills.

Rugby Superstars!

This morning I went and watched the first week of rugby. I saw lots of Room 4 involved - Xavier, Robbie, Jack, Ben, George, Regan, Royden, Angus and Ella. I was really impressed with the positive attitude of all the teams and the number of tries scored. I bet you will all have a great season!

Crazy Balloons!

There was lots of noise being made in Room 4 last week ... for a good reason though! For writing motivation we blew up balloons and let them go. I think our laughter was louder than the balloon noises!

Room 4’s Balloons

Bang! That was the sound when Scarlett’s balloon popped! On Tuesday Room 4 decided we did a balloon experiment. On Tuesday the 19^th of March we blew the balloons up. Some hit the roof. We let the balloons go and it made farting noises. It flew like the wind. My colour of my balloon was orange. I felt so happy.

Room 4’s Balloons

Bang Pop! That was the noise I heard when the balloon flew in the air. On Tuesday the 19^th of March we blew up balloons. When we blew them up it got big and when we let them go it got smaller and smaller. They looked like rainbows in the sky. I felt happy. And when I felt happy I laughed. Ha! Ha! Ha!
